U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross made the announcement that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $2 million grant to the city of Fayetteville, Arkansas.  The grant will be used to make roadway infrastructure improvements that are vital for manufacturers and businesses located in the area.  According to the press release, “The EDA grant, to be located near a Tax Cuts and Jobs Act Opportunity Zone, will be matched with $500,000 in local investment and is expected to create 350 jobs and spur $10 million in private investment.”  NWAEDD was proud to be involved in the regional planning efforts that helped to make this possible.  The full news article can be viewed at https://www.eda.gov/news/press-releases/2020/
