Grants Administration

The Grants Administration program of the Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District, Inc. is responsible for the development and implementation of a wide variety of federal, state and locally funded programs designed which are designed to improve the quality of life for citizens in Northwest Arkansas.  This program assists members by determining eligibility for funding sources, conducting public meetings for citizen input, providing environmental assessments of projects, assuring financial accountability of all funding sources and monitoring programs for compliance.

Equipment

For over 40 years, staff personnel from the Grants Administration Program have worked with member governments and their representatives to help secure funds from a number of agencies for the construction of vitally important infrastructure improvements and enhanced economic opportunities.  Particular emphasis is placed on job creation projects such as:  the Ranger Boat Economic Development Project in Marion County; Senior Center expansions; e.g. the  Boone County, Elkins and Siloam Springs Senior Activity Centers recently completed; water distribution projects like the recently completed Phase II, Southeast Washington County Rural Water Project.  Other projects include water and wastewater treatment, storm drainage, child care facilities, community buildings, fire stations and fire fighting equipment, as well as county health units, to name the most popular programs.  Vigilant construction management and financial accountability have been the cornerstones of successful grant programs that have improved the quality of life for residents of the Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District.Bridge
